Small world experiment

This is a brief note to mention that the class is conducting an e-mail "small world experiment" to test how many hops it takes to get an e-mail to someone in a distant corner of the world (in Taiwan).  The class will be starting 100+ e-mail chains toward this individual;  results to be reported here as they unfold.
